Busy Bee’s Learning Center is known for preparing young children to be successful in kindergarten and their elementary school years. Research shows that 90% of brain development occurs by the age of five. Today, with the added emphasis on Early Education, especially Literacy, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) skills, the efforts of our educators are especially important as they lay the foundation for learning and understanding STEM concepts. Consequently, our structure, curriculum and introducing concepts such as STEM language before the age of five is critical.
Children are placed in small groups primarily by age to provide small group and individual attention. Each child develops academically, physically and socially with other children their age, but at their own rate of development. Children are given opportunities to learn from a wide range of educator directed, “hands on” experiences, and free choice utilizing a variety of methods and material.
Daily activities and structure vary with each age group but generally include language, literacy, math, science, small and large motor activities, technology, creative play, art, sensory, music and movement. We also arrange several events and experiences for the preschool classrooms.
